Young Friends of the Kimmel Cancer Center

The Young Friends of the Kimmel Cancer Center is a professional group of men and women who are the future leaders and supporters of the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson. Recognizing the Kimmel Cancer Center's internationally renowned status as one of the top cancer centers for patient care and scientific research, it is the mission of the Young Friends to increase awareness of the NCI-designated cancer center's state-of-the-art technology, world-class therapeutics and the latest clinical trial options for its patients through fundraising and advocacy.

Join the Young Friends of the Kimmel Cancer Center at the UPPER MERION SWIM AND TENNIS CLUB AQUATHLON on for a swim/run to raise money for research. We are looking for volunteers for the race course as well as team participants! There is a course for every level of competition.

Put on your best costume at the LUNG CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION HALLOWEEN HUSTLE 5K and join our Dr. Richard Pestell and Dr. Rita Axelrod in the fight against lung cancer. We are looking for participants to form a team and show our support for Team Kimmel Cancer Center!

Become a Board Member of the Young Friends of the Kimmel Cancer Center

As a member of the Young Friends of the Kimmel Cancer Center, you have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients. Through volunteer opportunities, charity events and other fundraising efforts, your work will directly benefit the patients and physician research efforts of the Kimmel Cancer Center.

To download an application to become a member of the Young Friends Board of Advisors, please click HERE. Cost of membership is $1000.00 for one term (a two-year term). As a Young Friend, you will be privy to networking and social events as well as volunteer programs to support the Kimmel Cancer Center.
