Description:
The purpose of the Society is to provide an opportunity for physical therapy students to get involved in extra-curricular activities both at TJU and in the community. The focus of the activities is on community service, health-related issues, and to expand knowledge of the physical therapy field. We have speakers invited to come discuss their experience and topics related to physical therapy and the healthcare field. Participation in the Society is intended to enhance relations among the three classes of students and to further expose students to community health, interprofessionalism, and physical therapy issues. All PT students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend events and meetings, but to obtain membership participants must attend at least 1 meeting, 1 community event, and 1 educational event per fall and spring semester.
