JCPH Forum - Transforming the Health Workforce to Improve Population Health: Innovative Approaches in Medical Education
Malika Fair, MD, MPH will be our guest speaker on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 for the JCPH Forum. Dr. Fair is Director of Public Health Initiatives at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
Dr. Fair will address the social determinants of health that affect the health outcomes of patients and their communities. She will describe the significance of developing a health workforce that has the background, qualities, and skills to care for a diverse patient population and to promote health equity. Opportunities in academia and practice across the health professions to enhance the teaching of population health concepts will also be discussed.
The Forum is from 8:30 am -9:30 am and will be held on the Thomas Jefferson University campus, Dorrance H. Hamilton Building, 5th Floor, Room 505.
