Narrative

I spent most of my childhood growing up in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. I went to Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, VA which was my initial exposure to a STEM-focused curriculum. Then, I attended Princeton University for my undergraduate studies, majoring in molecular biology. Afterwards, I worked for a few years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, including cardiovascular drug development as well as stem cell therapies. Eventually, I embarked on the path of medicine, and attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. I received my first real exposure to radiation oncology from my mentors at University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic. I completed my transitional year at Summa Akron City Hospital in Akron, OH before moving to Philadelphia for my radiation oncology residency here at Jefferson.

My research interests are in the CNS and lung disease sites. I’m also interested in exploring novel ways to improve the patient experience for clinical trials and enhancing our ability to conduct quality research. Outside the hospital, I enjoy hiking the great outdoors, traveling to new places, and reading a good book.
