Jefferson Psychiatry Residents Win Psychiatry Quiz Contest!

Mind Games

At the Philadelphia Psychiatric Society’s annual educational meeting, the Colloquium of Scholars, held on March 7, 2015, a three-member team of residents in the department of psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University won the MindGames on the Schuylkill quiz contest. Residents on the team were (alphabetically) Andrew Orr, Meghan Starner, and David Winters (see photo). In close competition with teams for other residency programs from the Philadelphia area and Delaware residents gained a lead early on and were able to maintain it to the end.

At the same meeting, John Chaves, a fourth year medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College won the first place in the Original Research category for his poster on Serious Problems in How Adverse Effects are Identified and Assessed in Antidepressant Clinical Trials. Mr. Chaves was mentored in this project by Rajnish Mago, MD, Associate Professor in the department of psychiatry and human behavior.
