Mercy Hospice

Mercy Hospice is a recovery house for women and their children, offering a comprehensive array of residential and professional social services to its residents. The services offered to the residents include the provision of food, clothes, shelter, life skills, parenting education program, and goal-oriented case management. In addition, Mercy Hospice provides daily hospitality to woman on the street, in other shelters, or in near homeless situations. Services provided to women include daily lunch, access to showers, clothing, telephone use, and socials services assistance from a case manager.

The JeffHOPE clinic at Mercy Hospice provides general adult and pediatric care to the residents of this shelter. We provide health maintenance visits, sick visits, HIV care, blood sugar checks, immunizations, diabetes education, nutrition and exercise classes and smoking cessation classes. In the space in which we run clinic, we have an exam room which allows for us to perform short surgical procedures, address patients’ gynecologic concerns, and give patients the privacy they desire.
