Thomas Jefferson University’s Occupational Therapy Program Ranked Among the Top Programs for 2017


Best Grad Schools - Occupational Therapy

U.S. News and World Report ranked Thomas Jefferson University’s Department of Occupational Therapy as the #6 program in the country.  The report, released on March 10, 2016, uses a number of statistical data sources and expert opinions to rank schools. 

“I am so proud that Jefferson’s Occupational Therapy Program has received this recognition from U.S. News and World Report,” said Roseann Schaaf, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, Professor and Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy. This report reflects the quality of our outstanding programs and the dedication of our faculty and the program directors, Drs. Adel Herge, Stephen Kern, Tina DeAngelis and Susan Toth-Cohen.”  This ranking acknowledges the department’s success toward its mission of “reimagining health through occupation.”

The Department of Occupational Therapy in the Jefferson College of Health Professions offers a variety of programs at the master’s level as well as clinical doctoral programs at the entry and post-professional levels.  

Jefferson occupational therapy students have opportunities to participate in innovative clinical, educational and research experiences on their path to become leaders in occupational therapy and health care.
