Jefferson Physicians

Message from the President

Richard Webster, RN, MSN, President of Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals

To begin, I would like to thank you for your interest in the Administrative Fellowship position here at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. This position is deeply rooted in our tradition and we look forward to receiving your application.

I would also like to take this opportunity to share with you some of our hospital’s achievements. This year, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals makes U.S.News & World Report's Honor Roll and ranks 16th Best Hospital in the country! In addition to ranking in the top 10 facilities in the Philadelphia metro area (2nd) and Pennsylvania (3rd), eleven of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital's specialty programs have been recognized, including: Cancer, Ear, Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Geriatrics, Nephrology, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Cardiology & Heart Surgery, and Ophthalmology. Thomas Jefferson University Hospital does hold Magnet® designation for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC). Less than seven percent of hospitals nationwide earn this distinction; it is the highest honor an organization can receive for professional nursing practice.

These extraordinary honors are a reflection of the talented physicians, nurses and professional staff here at Jefferson. They are also a reflection of our organization’s unwavering dedication to providing excellent and innovative care to our patients.

Under the leadership of Stephen Klasko, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer, Jefferson Health has grown from three hospitals to eight in the last year through a series of mergers and acquisitions in the Philadelphia marketplace. We have become the largest provider of outpatient and inpatient services in the marketplace, which positions us well to transition to value based care.

We strongly appreciate your interest in our organization, and look forward to the prospect of having you join our administrative team.
