Biospecimens Available for Research

To perform a simple search of biospecimens available for research at TJU, click here.

For more complex searches, and to order biospecimens available for research in several TJU tissue banks (including the Pathology Department General Tissue Bank) you must use the NCI caBIG® tissue banking application, caTissue Suite. Approximately 10,000 frozen specimens from various anatomic sites, both normal and malignant, are annotated in this database. Also, about 200,000 cases with paraffin-embedded blocks, from the Pathology Department paraffin block archive, are accessible via searches on information in Surgical Pathology Reports

You will need to obtain a username and password to use this application. To obtain a log-in, click on the "Sign Up" link below the Login button on the upper right of the caTissue home page. If you already have a caTIssue username and password (and have received training on using the application), please proceed.

Click here to access caTissue Suite v1.1p4

(NOTE: You may ONLY access caTissue if you are on campus (i.e., "behind the TJU firewall).

A future capability (spring 2009) will be the ability to search for biospecimens at other NCI cancer centers.
