Clinical Cancer Research Review Committee

The scientific review, prioritization, and monitoring of all new and ongoing cancer-related clinical trials within Thomas Jefferson University (TJU), are the responsibility of the Clinical Cancer Research Review Committee (CCRRC). This review is required prior to submission to the TJU IRB.


Cooperative group studies that are CIRB approved DO NOT need to be reviwed by the CCRRC, but they DO need to be submitted to the CRMO using the documents listed below. Cooperative group studies that ARE NOT CIRB approved need to be reviewed by the CCRRC.


Meeting Times and Submission Details

The CCRRC meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month and materials need to be submitted the KCC Clinical Research Management Office(CRMO) Medical Office Building 7th floor suite 701 by 9:00 AM on the Monday before the next CCRRC meeting.


Documents to be submitted to CRMO:

  1. Multidisciplinary Working Group Check List - paper (as it requires signature of MDG leader)
  2. CCRRC Cover Sheet - electronic (please verify that you have the correct version, see above)
  3. Clinical Trial Protocol - electronic (preferred) or paper

If you are submitting a protocol for an investigator initiated trial (IIT) please use the recommended format.


Committee Details

The CCRRC is chaired by Scott A. Waldman, M.D., PhD Chairman of the Division of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics and coordinated by Maureen Morgan, MS Director of the Clinical Research Management Office (CRMO).
