Each day at Jefferson, data is generated, collected and stored every millisecond. This sensitive information consists of business and financial plans, research studies, trade secrets and other competitive intelligence, and patient and employee information. As this information is processed, warehoused and electronically transmitted across our internal networks, there is an obvious risk of unauthorized access and security breaches from careless internal errors or intentional external attacks. Jefferson’s challenge is to determine how best to protect this information.
