The Jefferson Facilities department recently raised $5,630 at a golf outing to support the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Breast Cancer Quality of Life Fund.
Randy Haines, energy manager, in the Facilities department presented the check to the staff of the center in September 2013. This generous gift represents a tradition of giving by the Facilities department to enhance care for patients being treated for breast cancer at Jefferson. To date, the department has donated more than $15,300.
“Last year their wonderful donation of $1,187 went to our Breast Cancer Quality of Life Fund which helped women we are caring for get lymphedema garments and screenings. This year, their donation will also go into our Breast Cancer Quality of Life Fund,” says Rosanne Iacono, MSN, CRNP, administrator at the Breast Care Center.
