obtained his medical degree from the University of Missouri. He completed a year of
medical training at Chestnut Hill Hospital and is presently a resident physician with the
Radiation Oncology department of Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Hughes has contributed
to the advancement of medical science through research at Washington University, Dartmouth
Medical College, and Thomas Jefferson. He has also been extensively involved in the
American Medical Association at various levels.
