Education
In addition to performing cancer research in their areas of expertise, the
faculty members of the Laboratory of Experimental Radiation Oncology
contribute to academic courses in radiation biology for residents in
radiation oncology, residents in nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology,
graduate students in the College of Graduate Studies and undergraduate
students in the College of Allied Health Sciences. Residents in radiation
oncology also spend 3-12 months in the laboratory learning research skills.
The Laboratory has an N.C.I. post-doctoral training grant for 1-3 years of
specialized research training in "Cancer Research Training in the Science of
DNA Damage Response". Please contract Dr. Dennis Leeper for more information.
There is also a summer program in
Basic Cancer Research under Dr. Ronald Coss.
